DOWNLOAD

This program must downloaded as an executable, once you have downloaded it click on the icon to run it. A black screen with a series of prompts as you answer each one a another one will appear until you have answer the last one at which point the screen will disappear. Two files should appear in same location that you have saved the executable file. See picture below for more clarity:

Running the RotorCAD program

The two files that appear should be a python file with a .py extension and an autoCAD script file with .scr extension. The autoCAD script file was for an old version of autoCAD so may not work in newer versions of autoCAD, there should be a function 'run script' if modern autoCAD still has command line you may be enter a command there to run the script file.

The python file is for freeCAD. FreeCAD is a free downloadable CAD package for more details visit: www.freecad.org. FreeCAD is a python based program so you open python files directly in freeCAD and run them which should create an airfoil in the draft workbench of freeCAD. See diagram below for more clarity:

Running the FreeCAD python script

If there is demand I could update the program to create entire rotor blades, wings, etc so please let me know if you have any suggestion or questions: [email protected].
